Conducted ongoing research on narrative engagement, character sympathy and age-appropriate psychology and game mechanics for children (~11 years old). Organized and analyzed 20+ peer-reviewed sources and book chapters into a structured bibliography for easy reference during stand-up meetings. Applied research insights to inform design decisions around mechanics and narrative progression to enhance player focus and retention.

Dedicated over 5 hours weekly to research on narrative engagement, character sympathy and relevant game mechanics for a market audience of boys and girls around age 10; organized over 18 sources into bibliography; applied information to inform ideas on mechanics, narrative progression, character arcs and integration with Ontario’s social and emotional learning curriculum.

Ensured smooth operation of two service bars by stocking beer and bottles; ensured fast turnover of customers by proactively cleaning tables and communicating availability to relevant team members.
