As a low-income first-generation graduate, my parents aren’t fluent in English and have trouble with technology, so I have always guided them through software and web pages. I didn’t realize it at the time, but this sparked my desire to learn how to design not only modern and sleek designs but also with accessibility and empathy in mind to improve a user’s experience, regardless of cultural or technical background.
With a Bachelors in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, I have a fundamental understanding of computer science languages, frameworks, and frontend that allows me to bridge the gap between developers and designers alike.
