Eve Hollinworth
I’m a composer and producer who has spent the past 10 years creating music, with a growing focus on film scoring. I’m especially drawn to emotionally led storytelling and the atmosphere found in indie, horror, and drama films, particularly those influenced by studios like A24.
My approach to scoring focuses on subtlety, texture, and emotional depth. I often work with minimal arrangements using soft piano, evolving string swells, ambient textures, and live recorded sounds to build mood and tension. My work is inspired by composers such as Thomas Newman, Max Richter, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Jonny Greenwood, combining cinematic minimalism with experimental and organic sound design.
Alongside this, I’m always open to exploring different genres and sonic styles. I listen to a wide range of music, from UK garage and hip-hop to jazz and experimental music, and enjoy adapting my sound to suit each project’s tone, story, and creative vision.
I work primarily in Logic Pro and regularly record my own live sounds and instrumentation to create unique, natural sonic environments.
Although I’m continuing to build my film scoring portfolio, I’m extremely passionate about collaborating with filmmakers and supporting their visual storytelling. I strongly believe that creativity and storytelling come first, and I place a huge value on clear, open communication throughout the creative process. I’m committed to working closely with clients and refining the score until they are genuinely 100% happy with the final result.
I aim to work fairly and transparently, and I’m always happy to discuss budgets and negotiate pricing depending on the scope and nature of each project.
Why work with me?
I approach every project with care, flexibility, and a genuine love for storytelling through music. I’m highly collaborative and open to feedback, and I prioritise understanding a director’s vision so the score feels emotionally connected to the film rather than simply placed on top of it. My background in producing across multiple genres allows me to adapt creatively while still maintaining a strong cinematic identity. My goal is always to create music that supports the story, enhances atmosphere, and helps bring a project’s emotional world to life.

This piece was composed as part of my final university assignment, where I created an original score for the final scene of Interstellar. The project received a First-Class grade and was designed as an exercise in responding emotionally to existing visual storytelling.
My aim was to explore how music can enhance the emotional weight of the scene while maintaining sensitivity to pacing, silence, and atmosphere. Rather than recreating the original score, I focused on developing my own interpretation based on the feeling and narrative impact of the moment.
The composition uses minimal and atmospheric textures, drawing on soft piano, evolving harmonic layers, and gradual dynamic development to reflect themes of distance, connection, and resolution. This project allowed me to further develop my approach to cinematic storytelling through music and my ability to compose in response to complex emotional scenes.
This score was composed for a scene sourced from The Cue Tube as part of a film scoring exercise. I created the entire soundtrack using original composition and self-recorded sounds, focusing on building atmosphere and emotional tension to support the visual storytelling.
A key texture throughout the piece comes from plucking the strings behind the nut of an acoustic guitar, creating an organic, slightly unsettling tone that helped shape the sonic identity of the scene. I combined this with soft ambient layers and minimal instrumentation to enhance mood while allowing space for the visuals and narrative to breathe.
This project reflects my interest in creating cinematic, emotionally driven scores using unconventional sound design and live recorded textures.
