Ema Ferreira is a Portuguese composer and multimedia artist, born in Covilhã. She has a special interest in electroacoustic music and the relationship between image, sound and interactivity in the audio and audiovisual context. Between 2021 and 2022 she was an artist-in-residence at the European project IMPROVISA – Life in Motion and her project Quero ir – for voice and fixed electronics, in collaboration with the soprano Beatriz Ramos – was part of several programs, such as Projeções 2022. Until the date, her works and projects have been presented in Portugal, France, Scotland, Sweden, Mexico and the United States of America. In 2021, Ema graduated in Music – Composition from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (ESMAE) and during the winter of 2020/21 she studied Composition at Kungliga Musikhögskolan, in Stockholm, under the Erasmus programme.
