Ernest Douglas is a Kansas City based multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, producer, composer and teacher specializing in Rock, Soul, Blues, and film scores. As a second generation musician, Ernest started learning music in diapers, when his dad began to teach him piano. Growing up playing all sorts of instruments including saxophone and trumpet, his music career has taken him abroad from Washington, D.C to San Pedro, Belize to Kansas City, MO and gave him the opportunity to teach at the college level, with a love for teaching, and a goal to help his students learn to communicate through their music. Ernest not only loves teaching, but learning himself. Ernest's love of learning has taken him to Berklee College of Music, where he currently studies film score composition. When he’s not working, he’s spending time at home with his wife and two kids.
