Hello, my name is Eva Kubacki! I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan Penny Stamps School of Art and Design. While there, I developed a highly diverse set of skills and work experience as an artist and a professional, including but not limited to watercolor, illustration, graphic design, market research, fiber arts, metalsmithing, woodworking, and art programming for children. I am especially interested in illustrating children's books, although I am open to any work. My current job is as the Cultural Arts Coordinator for the Jewish Community Center of Greater Ann Arbor. In this role, I am responsible for planning and executing enrichment programming for children, adults, and seniors. This includes but is not limited to: making project timelines, coordinating third party participants and vendors, handling communications about the events, designing marketing materials, and facilitating the events. Altogether, I develop and run 12-24 large programs per year, with 50-200 attendees per event. This is on top of the three weekly programs that I run for children and adults. This job gives me a strong understanding of what visual language and topics people of many different backgrounds are attracted to. I design all of the marketing and instructional materials for my events as an extension of the events themselves. Whether it is a program I am leading or one I am assisting with, I always take care to understand the heart of the event so I can help artistically portray and run it as well as possible.
