I'm a brand and packaging designer with years of consumer-packaged-goods experience, including work on Burt's Bees and Green Works at The Clorox Company, where I led packaging from concept through print-ready execution. I translate brand identity into intentional design and bring hands-on print production knowledge to ensure what looks great on screen also delivers in print. I work independently, communicate clearly, and deliver print-ready files that meet spec. You can see my work at FabienneJachCreative.com.

Designing With Purpose: The Orenna Web Experience

This design evolved through multiple phases, moving from a warmer, more approachable aesthetic toward a cleaner, more refined enterprise sensibility as the product vision sharpened. I refined the color palette repeatedly, lightening the backgrounds to bring clarity and sophistication. A subtle wave animation — drawn from the site’s water theme — was woven through several pages as a background element, present enough to feel intentional, understated enough to never compete with the content.

Each page was treated individually based on its function. Accordion text blocks helped tame content-heavy pages, keeping them navigable without sacrificing depth. Every interaction point was questioned: what would someone expect here? What’s the most natural next step? The interface and design were deliberate and easy to navigate. Production & Implementation: Where Design Vision Meets Print Precision

Throughout my career, I’ve alternated between design and production roles, a unique path that has strengthened my capabilities in both areas. This dual expertise—a rare combination in the industry—allows me to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution, ensuring that designs are not only visually striking but also optimized for production.

My expertise in color analysis and pre-press workflows, cultivated over years of hands-on experience, became instrumental in ensuring accurate translation from concept to final product across various substrates and print processes. Whether refining brand marks, launching new product lines, or creating holiday gift packs, my attention to detail and technical knowledge ensured consistency and quality at every step.

In essence, my approach to production and implementation is holistic—a rare blend of design intuition and technical mastery. It’s an approach that has consistently delivered results across national and international brands and projects, and one that I continue to refine with each new challenge.

Castlight Health Campaigns: targeted initiatives to improve employee health and simplify access to care.

I created marketing materials, inspirational posters, event banners, invitations, note cards, and designed icons; refined and cleaned up the logo, producing multiple versions tailored for different printing methods and sizes; and compiled a comprehensive master color sheet to ensure consistent, cohesive branding across all applications.

paper High Res Image Retouching & Manipulation

    Where Precision Meets Intuition

Retouching and image manipulation is where I’m completely in my element. It’s equal parts science and artistry — methodical and experimental, precise and intuitive. I approach every image as a visual problem worth solving, digging into the details with curiosity and patience until I get the result clients and I want.

Every photoshop expert has their own particular tips and tricks: I’m no exception. Rather than reaching for broad effects, I often work the way an artist works — selectively and deliberately, remembering what makes an image compelling in the first place. That philosophy shows most clearly in portrait work, where the goal is never transformation for its own sake, but enhancement that preserves the integrity of the real person. The details that make someone them stay intact.

With the addition of AI tools for lighter lifting, I can focus my energy where it matters most — the nuanced, high-stakes work that requires a human eye and a curious mind.

paper Art Direction & Design: Burt's Bees

Revitalizing the Brand, Expanding Offerings, and Attracting a Wider Audience

In 2007, The Clorox Company acquired Burt’s Bees. The mission was clear: refine the brand and expand its offerings to appeal to a broader audience, all while ensuring the continued loyalty of its passionate consumer base. I worked closely with the team in Durham, NC to further expand my knowledge of the brand and existing design language in order to lead the creative efforts with the internal talent at the Clorox headquarters.

This collaboration resulted in a brand mark refresh, the launch of additional lip balm products and flavors, the launch of Tinted Lip Balm Duos, the Intense Hydration product line, and numerous gift and holiday packs.

These included line extensions for Burt’s Bees’ sub-brand, Güd, which appealed to a younger target demographic with its fresh and whimsical line of natural bath and body care.

Driving Success: Developing the Green Works Brand and Pioneering a Line of Cutting-Edge Products

The challenge was to create a line of natural cleaning products that held the promise of a trusted name brand in efficacy without polarizing traditional cleaning product users.

I was instrumental in developing the Green Works brand and launching the complete line of products. Collaborating with various departments such as marketing, sales, and R&D, I participated in comprehensive market research, analyzed competitive products, and strategically implemented research-backed strategies.

I lent my expertise and creative guidance to the in-house team, as well as agency partners and vendors in order to deliver products that successfully met the needs of both the customer and the consumer at launch.
