I’m Faraz Alam, a director of photography and filmmaker based in Prague, originally born in Libya. I’m a FAMU graduate whose work moves between narrative fiction, non-fiction, commercials, and music videos, always with a hybrid, image-led approach shaped by living across three continents. My practice is guided by what I think of as “empirical romanticism”: close observation joined to practical craft, with a focus on atmosphere, rhythm, and silence.
