About
Hello! My name is Farouk Kannout. I’m a passionate writer, cultural critic, and game developer based in Chicago. I have years of experience doing freelance creative writing, journalism, and cultural criticism, and am able to handle various styles and tones of writing while managing multiple tight deadlines. I have always thrived in a creative environment where I get to solve bespoke problems that are specific to the project I am working on, and I love working with others! Having gone to film school, worked on film productions after I graduated, and worked in game development at an independent game studio, my creative journey has involved working with diverse teams of people to tell stories in various mediums.
