As part of a Product Design examination at the Academy, I developed a series of design objects through a complete creative process. The project began with research, hand sketches, and concept development, followed by the creation of detailed technical drawings and visual studies. The final designs were modeled and visualized in 3D using Rhinoceros, translating the initial concepts into accurate digital prototypes and presentations.

This rebranding project for the Orto Botanico di Brera, developed by Federica Greco for the 2024/2025 Graphic Design course under the supervision of Monica Ferrara, originated from a close observation of the historic garden.

The visual system distills nature into clean geometric forms centered around the Ginkgo biloba leaf. The logo combines organic inspiration with the letter “o” from Brera, creating a flexible and institutional visual mark.

The typographic system pairs the modernity of the Lato typeface with the historical elegance of Baskervville, evoking the site’s heritage and cultural memory.

The identity seamlessly integrates both the website and printed communication materials, with particular emphasis on an innovative eco-friendly ground signage system designed to align with visitors’ natural tendency to look downward while exploring the garden.

The result is a contemporary and sustainable visual identity system, for which the author retains all intellectual property rights.
