I am an eclectic musician, composer, producer, sound designer, creative mixing engineer and saxophonist, with a longstanding interest in exploring diverse musical languages and moving naturally across even very distant musical worlds. My training began at the Jazz Conservatory of Klagenfurt and was further enriched through workshops led by internationally renowned artists such as Kenny Wheeler, Fred Hersch, Dave Liebman and Robert Bonisolo. Over the years, I have distinguished myself both as a soloist and as a composer: in 2006 I won the national competition “Giovane in Jazz,” and in 2009 I was awarded the international competition “Nuove strade del cinema muto,” dedicated to scoring silent films. Alongside my work as a bandleader, I have developed an extensive career as a sideman, collaborating across a wide range of contexts spanning jazz, singer-songwriter music, funk, hip hop and electronic music. Between 2009 and 2011 I lived in Berlin, where I deepened my focus on film scoring, further expanding my artistic perspective. In 2012, building on a reputation for professionalism and strong arranging skills, I began working on major stages and within Italian pop productions as a saxophonist and co-arranger for the theatrical tour of Marco Mengoni. Since 2019, alongside my live performance activity (both in jazz and beyond), I have been working as a freelance music producer and composer for film and media. In particular, I focus on producing for pop and indie pop singer-songwriters, contributing to the development of songs both melodically and harmonically, while shaping the overall sonic vision of their albums. I oversee the broader sound concept, arrangements, sound design and, when possible, the mixing stage, with a focus on both emotional impact and reliable translation across different playback systems.

    paper Federico Missio - Life

Life is a piece originally composed in the summer of 2011 for the silent film “Dough and Dynamite” by Charlie Chaplin, for the Aosta International Festival “Nuove Strade del Cinema.” It is presented here in a reworked version for solo piano and reused as the soundtrack for a video by Berlin-based filmmaker Matthias Fritsch.

paper Silvia Michelotti - Per il mondo che verrà

This is the making-of video of the album “Per il mondo che verrà”, produced in 2021 for the singer-songwriter Silvia Michelotti. It offers an overview of the entire creative process behind the project, from the initial concept development and songwriting through rehearsals and arrangement, all the way to the studio recording.

paper Federico Missio - Combat De Boxe

A modern/experimental musical scoring of a fairly well-known early 20th-century silent short film, among enthusiasts, created for a silent film rescoring competition in 2014. The underlying idea was to create a texture in which different languages overlap and alternate, while remaining faithful to the visual narrative.

    paper Galetti - Long Distance

I personally handled the production of the debut album by indie singer-songwriter Galetti.
Long Distance, one of the three singles, is definitely the most energetic and pop-rock–oriented.
