After studying Graphic and Typographic Design at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, I began my career in Berlin. There, I gained a great deal of international experience before returning to The Hague. Since then, I’ve worked as a (senior) graphic designer and type designer—both as an employee and independently. Additionally, I’ve enjoyed teaching typography to students at the Willem de Kooning Academy and St. Joost. My work experience is broad and diverse: from assignments for small, independent entrepreneurs to larger projects for semi-public organizations. I design brand identities, visual identities, visual campaigns, and typographically complex publications such as books and websites. As a type designer, I’ve worked for clients including Google Fonts, Monotype, and The Enschedé Font Foundry—where precision, detail, and consistency are key. What do I bring to the table? A solid amount of experience, a healthy dose of curiosity, and a flexible, creative mindset. I like to be involved from the very beginning and am familiar with the full process: from the first briefing to delivering print-ready materials. I work in a structured way, am solution-oriented, and have a strong eye for aesthetics and typographic finesse. I’m also a social and engaged person—someone who draws energy from collaboration and the exchange of ideas. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and happily go the extra mile when needed. I work with focus and full commitment to achieve a strong result, even when it requires extra effort. I value building a good relationship with clients, because it often leads to better results and a deeper understanding of their needs.
