I’m the Brand Experience Specialist and founder of Salted Branding. I work with faith-led founders and service businesses who don't have a strong brand presence or messaging to create brand experiences and marketing strategies that turn curiosity into commitment. I focus on aligning a brand with the gifts and values behind it, so it can attract and win over the right people. I also bring a strong teaching background in media and design, guiding high school students through media literacy, design thinking, and hands-on creative projects. Whether working with entrepreneurs, students, or teams, I’m passionate about thoughtful visuals, ethical communication, and practical problem-solving.

African Mind Healer: Creating an inviting central hub for a mental health brand

African Mind Healer is a psychotherapy and Christian counseling practice founded by Ajabeyang Amin, PsyD, MPH. She provides various mental health services for African immigrants and Christians with a focus on holistic care for the mind, heart, and spirit.

Ajab came to me with an existing blog that she wanted to transform into a website. It was integral that the site house all the information about her practice and brand.

I created a website for her that acts as a central hub for her brand. From her website visitors can easily get to know her, see all her services, learn about her book and still be able to access all her blog posts with its past interactions. I made sure navigating her website was intuitive so visitors could find what they were looking for with ease.

Considering the strong need to build trust quickly in her profession, I designed a website for her that was very calming, assuring and welcoming. Making sure it provided her credentials as well as reveal parts of her personality so visitors would connect with her.

Sriii Consulting: Developing a brand strategy and marketing campaign that drives visibility

Samuel Reed, founder of Sriii Consulting, is a Philadelphia based Full Focus Pro & Business Coach who focuses on empowering entrepreneurs to thrive locally and scale Sustainably.

Reed, was coming across as a business coach and had developed a reputation as “The Side Hustle Guy”, but he was delivering value beyond scaling side hustles. He needed help developing a clear positioning for his brand, and with growing his brand presence and authority locally.

From our strategy session and ongoing consulting, I learned how well rounded his approach to coaching was and distilled my findings into a brand strategy, messaging framework and marketing campaign.

Our collaboration included updating his title to bring his certification as a Full Focus Pro to the forefront while highlighting the holistic nature of his coaching and leaving room for curiosity. Other parts of the work on his strategy included clarifying his audience and updating his core message so it spoke to them on both an intellectual and emotional level.

In order to strengthen his brand presence and authority locally, I developed a marketing campaign in line with his brand called “Philly’s Got Hustle”. The campaign focused on celebrating Philadelphia’s community of entrepreneurs by giving them the opportunity to share stories about their businesses. Part of the challenge involved tagging and highlighting other business owners in order to get the chance to win a free coaching session with him and some other prizes.

The campaign was designed to build momentum by having entrepreneurs naturally uplift each other. By sharing their stories, they got pulled into Reed’s ecosystem and pushed his brand awareness while simultaneously getting free publicity through his various platforms. He also replicate the campaign in Kanye, Botswana under the name “Bot’s Got Hustle”.

Both campaigns led to engagement and sessions being booked from new as well as returning clients. It also led to a growth in his audience predominantly from local entrepreneurs. We made sure he was equipped with a clear outline of the campaign, KPIs and all necessary info to adapt the campaign for future use.

Plans & Journeys: Creating a bespoke brand from strategy to website

Plans and Journeys, founded by Yvonne Tate, is a company that provides bespoke digital planners and journals for individuals and organizations.

Yvonne came to me with a vision for her brand and an existing website that didn’t do her offer justice nor speak to the caliber of clients she was targeting. She needed a brand that captured her offer and was enticing to her two target audiences: solopreneurs and organizations.

After a session where I got to understand her brand, offers and goals, I created a full brand for her that was inline with her vision and target audience. Yvonne was tired of cutesy pastel planners and at the same time didn’t want to be limited to the plain black alternatives. Her business offers custom made alternatives that cater to minorities and all genders, and she wanted her brand to reflect this.

I created a brand strategy and messaging framework that properly articulated the gap in the market, empathized with the needs of her audience and positioned Plans and Journeys as the solution to the gap. I wrote her copy using her messaging framework as a guide, and also created a visual identity and website that was as refined as her message. Her only responsibility was to hit publish.
