As a freelance producer I am used to working independently with clients on projects from conception and planning through to capture, post-production and delivery. I am a skilled editor and have experience colour grading and in sound design also. My background in theatre and on-camera performance has given me strong creative vision, a love for telling stories, devising how to best convey them, and a knack for talent management and getting the best out of people on camera. I have developed a keen eye for the essentials and heart of the projects I work on, and I thoroughly love the blend of technical skills and creativity that truly engaging video production requires. I’ve also worked as a freelance camera & sound operator ( various companies in Ireland) and production assistant ( ITV America) in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in order to capture and deliver larger scale projects. This has given me experience with a wide range of work practices, techniques and equipment including lighting and working as a DIT on occasion. As a solo producer I keenly understand the vital importance of maintaining equipment and the pre-production prep required to ensure shoots go smoothly and the importance of communication to ensure everything is aligned with the brief. I also understand how integral time, budget and client management is to the successful delivery of projects.
