Hi, I’m Gabriel de Deus Silva, a BA Film and Television Studies student at the University of Exeter with a passion for contemporary cinema and storytelling. I studied film history, production, and writing, aiming to craft engaging, genre-blending work that explores nuanced and unique ideas with humour, horror and always visual flair. I’ve worked on several student projects at Exeter as a writer, director, editor, cinematographer and script supervisor, most notably my own dissertation short film, Strings of a Devil’s Axe. I’m also gaining experience as a stage manager with Charade Drama and Bristol Opera, and I contribute to Ujima radio as an assistant producer, involving proficiency is audio recording software, communication and organising meetings. I am hard working, punctual and always strive to work to the absolute best of my ability.
