Gangfeng Wang

Hi, I’m Gangfeng Wang, an award-winning photographer born and raised in Shanghai, with over 40 years of professional photography experience.
I specialize in creating beautiful, natural, and memorable travel portraits for visitors exploring Shanghai. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, with family, or celebrating a honeymoon, engagement, anniversary, or special occasion, I’ll help you capture authentic moments against the city’s most iconic and hidden locations.
As a lifelong Shanghainese, I know the city far beyond the typical tourist attractions. From the historic Bund and the charming streets of the French Concession to quiet local neighborhoods and secret photo spots, I can guide you to locations that truly reflect the spirit of Shanghai.
My work has received international recognition, with photographs exhibited and collected worldwide. More importantly, I believe great photography is about making people feel relaxed, confident, and genuinely themselves in front of the camera.
I speak both English and Chinese, making communication easy for international travelers. My goal is not only to create beautiful photographs but also to give you an enjoyable local experience you’ll remember long after your trip.
I look forward to helping you create timeless memories in one of the world’s most fascinating cities.
My work has been recognized internationally, including the Grand Prize of the Ballantine’s International Photography Award, and is held in the permanent collection of the Musée de l’Elysée in Switzerland. My recent short film Dynamic Pulse of Shanghai has also received several international film awards.
Let’s explore Shanghai together and create photographs you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
