I began my photography studies learning classical techniques at various studios, and my first photographs were published in Brazil's major daily newspaper O Globo. I have collaborated with numerous actors, musicians, designers and labels, and I continue to blend storytelling with technical craft. In 1995 I was appointed head of the photo laboratory at PUC University in Rio de Janeiro, where I built the university's first analogue lab, ran workshops on developing film, supervised many projects, and taught fashion and still life photography. I guided the lab through the transition to digital photo technology and taught post-production.
