Hi, I am Giselle Martinez, a first-generation college graduate from two Mexican immigrant parents. I have lived in San Diego all my life and look forward to a graphic design career here. Studying at San Diego City College and San Diego State University gained me skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, print design, web design, UX/UI, packaging design, 3-D sculpting, and more. I strengthened my life skills such as time management, organization, task management, and receiving and giving feedback. As an empathetic person, not only do I show empathy towards those around me, it can also be seen in my work. As a designer, this characteristic of mine helps me get a better understanding of a client, try to build a comfortable space, and connect with their emotions to convey a design that fits their needs, and improve user experience on a design. I am passionate about listening to music daily, which made me want to join this field to eventually create designs such as album covers, posters, and advertisements for musicians.
