Giulia Francavilla/Rae is a sound artist and sound designer currently based in Brussels. Active as a live performer since 2016, she pursued an academic path in electroacoustic music obtaining a Master's degree from the Institute of Sonology of The Hague (NL), where she currently is a guest teacher. Grounded in the field of algorithmic music, her research delves into the notion of “immersion”, developing acousmatic compositions, live performances and multidisciplinary works. She has showcased her music and performed at international festivals and venues and released music on several labels. In parallel, she collaborates as a composer and sound designer for theatre, video, and multidisciplinary projects.
