Glenn McCoy is an animation director, writer, illustrator, and designer. He has worked on over a dozen major motion pictures. He is also an award-winning cartoonist and illustrator. Glenn has helped develop theme park rides for Universal Studios and the humor-driven video games “Minions Rush” and “Minions Paradise”. As an animation Director/Writer, Glenn led a team of animators, board artists, actors, and musicians thru the production of several mini-movies including “Secret Life of Kyle”, “Super Gidget” and the theatrically released “Mower Minions”. His nationally syndicated comic strip “The Duplex” runs in hip newspapers from Seattle to Sweden. He has worked on marketing campaigns for McDonalds, Geico, General Mills and Prius on work ranging from humor writing, and product designs to story boarding national TV commercials. Glenn has worked for most of the major TV and feature animation studios including Illumination Entertainment, Blue Sky Studios, DreamWorks, Cinesite, Walt Disney Studios and Fox Television on projects such as “Despicable Me”, “Ice Age 3”, “The Grinch”, Pixar’s “Planes”, and “The Secret Life of Pets”. He has most recently worked on the “Super Mario Bros.Movie” and was the lead Story Artist on “Minions: The Rise of Gru” for which he wrote many of the gags, designed the main minion, Otto, and wrote and illustrated the opening and end-credit sequence.
