I am Goitom Gebreyohannes Berhe, an experienced metallurgical engineer and inorganic chemist, currently serving as a Visiting University Teacher Researcher at MTF - STU in Trnava, Slovakia. My work focuses on assessment and extraction of Li, Nb and Ta from spodumene ore for battery storage applications, and I lead curriculum development and research programs at Mekelle University in Ethiopia. I am passionate about student mentorship, practical education, and sustainable mineral processing research.
I have over two decades of teaching and research experience across Ethiopian education systems and university laboratories, with a track record of leadership, international collaboration, and community engagement in science and engineering. I aim to advance interdisciplinary education and develop affordable, eco-friendly hydrometallurgical methods for critical minerals.
