Christian Gruener

I picked up a camera at twelve and shot a self-made AC/DC video with friends. That early spark led me to play in a band, publish magazines, and produce my first sports films.

Since releasing my debut feature in 2004, I have worked as a director and director of photography on commercial and documentary projects, crafting scripts and visually striking storytelling for brands such as Adidas, Mercedes, Puma, Braun, Jever, Panasonic, McDonald’s, Lidl, Goodyear and Telekom. A highlight is Behind the Passion, a film about Hans Thomann, which gathered over 700,000 views in multiple languages on YouTube and influenced HR culture at a global market leader. I live near Munich with my wife and three kids, and I also enjoy writing biographies in the third person.
