Hi, I'm Shijin Zhou, a UC Irvine Computer Science student with hands-on experience in game development, animation, software testing, and secure data systems. I designed an enterprise OA system, built a web search engine, and contributed to a 2D game project on Resonance, while actively participating in UCI's Women's Gaming Club. I am a professional developer with hands-on experience in both front-end development and game production. I have worked at two companies, where I was responsible for front-end design, requirement clarification, and close communication with backend engineers. Through this work, I developed a strong understanding of professional frontend–backend collaboration and API-based workflows. During my 2D game project (BoomJam), I was responsible for core gameplay code implementation and skeletal animation integration, contributing directly to a playable and polished game build. I am very familiar with game mechanics and player experience, and I am comfortable working with both 2D and 3D assets. What makes me stand out is my ability to bridge technical implementation, game design understanding, and team communication. I am used to working in fast-paced, collaborative environments, providing clear updates, responding quickly to feedback, and delivering functional results under tight deadlines.
