Combining over 10 years of experience working in environmental policy and international development, as well as a Master’s of Arts in Intercultural Communications, Hingman is uniquely skilled to be able to identify strong narratives to drive policy change. Her first short documentary on food waste in China received the Public Ethnography Award in 2015. Hingman has produced effective video content for a growing list of organizations, businesses, and not-for-profits including the University of Ottawa and the International Institute for Environment and Development. In 2018, Hingman co-founded apt613TV, a digital media channel devoted to telling stories about Ottawa's arts and culture scene. Its mission is to bring the vibrancy of Ottawa's streets to the screen, and revealing Ottawa's hidden gems.
