I’m a versatile musician from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq with about seven years of experience as a performer, composer, arranger, and educator. I primarily perform on the double bass, but I’ve also played electric bass and mandolin, worked with several orchestras and ensembles, and taught double bass, composition, and music theory at private institutions. My goal is to bring an intellectual and philosophical depth to music for my audience. At the heart of my work is a fascination with traditional and older styles of writing, which I blend with my performance and teaching experience.
