Java Backend Engineer at Volmatica

Designed and maintained scalable, production-grade backend services using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture. Executed a full AWS-based database migration across staging environments using AWS DMS with configured endpoints, replication instances, and tasks. Provisioned and managed Terraform-defined AWS resources (DMS endpoints, replication instances, Lambda functions, and ECS task definitions) as IaC for consistent deployments. Implemented Lambda-triggered post-migration validation and data reconciliation to reduce manual effort. Deployed and managed infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3) for high availability and fault tolerance. Optimized PostgreSQL operations with Hibernate ORM, improved indexing, and maintained schema versioning. Developed and documented RESTful APIs with Spring Security for authentication and authorization. Implemented Docker-based deployments and Git-based workflows with code reviews.
