My name is Idun, and I am a Sweden-based illustrator currently studying Visual Communication at Malmö University. I have a particular interest in character illustration and visual storytelling. I have a strong artistic background in visual arts and design, combined with professional experience working as an illustrator and Head of Illustration for Lundagård, a student newspaper. In this role, I regularly create character-driven illustrations, work closely with writers and editors, and adapt my visual style to support narrative tone and content. This has given me solid experience working with briefs, deadlines, and collaborative creative processes. Alongside my editorial work, I am an exhibiting artist and have participated in multiple group exhibitions and cultural projects. These experiences have helped me develop a distinct visual voice, with a focus on expressive characters, atmosphere, and personality. I also work freelance on commissioned projects such as portrait painting and murals, where translating individual traits and emotions into visual form is central to the process. I am particularly drawn to book illustration because of the opportunity to develop characters over time and contribute visually to a larger narrative world. I enjoy combining conceptual thinking with detailed character design and would love to bring that approach to your project. I would be happy to provide additional material or discuss how my illustration style could support your work! Kind regards, Idun Andersson Lindblad
