María Cristina Román Célleri
Hi! I’m Tina, I live in the middle of the Earth, Quito, Ecuador I love karaoke and running to clear my mind and challenge myself.
I love working in teams that strive to create memorable projects. I’m always learning from others and enjoy adapting to different design styles… in other words: I like to flow.
I’ve worked as an illustrator at ¡elé! magazine, Ecuador’s best children’s magazine, and as a graphic designer with brands like Banco Pichincha, Banco Guayaquil, Diners Club, Bimbo, among other major names that have challenged me and helped me grow.
Currently, I’m an Art Director at Punto 99, ad agency here in Quito, managing accounts such as SanaSana, Oki Doki, and TASE.

This illustration was done for a section in children magazine ¡elé! called Mythologic Creatures. Phoenix´s minute of fame!
In this section mythology is resumed using one creature each time a new ¡elé! number comes out. Enjoy!
This client requested a mascot for internal communication, a bee that represented the company’s core values: teamwork, organization, collective effort and productivity. The character should be friendly, approachable, and empathetic, helping foster a warm and positive work culture while remaining professional.
This illustration was depicted in the section ‘‘Terror Characters’’ of the children magazine ¡elé!.
This time Zombies were the main theme. Enjoy!
In this project I had to illustrate a varied number of famous literature characters, this time they were used for the central theme of ¡elé! magazine for children.
From Alice to Sherlock Holmes and other characters the number of illustrations sumed up to 27. It was a hard work but, with some help, the project arrived at proper time for succesful publishing.
This one was pretty fun to do! Enjoy! :)
Illustration made for the cover of the best children’s magazine in Ecuador: ¡elé! In this piece I tried to represent some of what was inside the central theme of the mag and also my childhood dream of having some of my favourite foods in giant form. Enjoy!
This project was born from my love for my country´s traditional food. This time, I decided to illustrate two very popular dishes usually eaten for breakfast: encebollado, a fish and cassava soup topped with lots of onions and cilantro, and ‘‘bolón de verde’’, a mashed green plantain ball served with beef broth and a fried egg. Enjoy!
