DJ SHiNE, until recently a behind-the-scenes entertainment wizard, takes the American stage, in the Asian spotlight, with the latest incarnation of the DJ Shine project. While DJ SHiNE has always been an assertive hard worker with multiple irons in the fire, disc jockeying has been a successful passion for the past nine years. Now, after almost a decade of living abroad in Asia while pursuing multiple aspects of the music world, DJ SHiNE has found a deeper passion and greater respect for the music entertainment industry. Starting young, DJ SHiNE was aware that the small town life he was born into in Laurel, Mississippi was not a life sentence, but merely a starting point. While in his early twenties, DJ Shine visited and settled in Japan for several years, while overseas DJ SHiNE has played & traveled to other countries as S.Korea (Pusan & Pynontek) & China (Bejing & Dylan). Finding a place for himself in the Japanese music scene, he founded Get Yo Shine On Entertainment in 2006. Since then, GYSO Ent. has carved out a promising artist and audience base, featuring a variety of services including club shows, event planning and organizing, artist promotions, special guest appearances, and more. With events and performances across Japan (in the cities of and around Tokyo, Fussa, Osaka, Okayama, Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Sasebo) DJ SHiNE has made long-term experience and valuable connections with Japanese artists, DJs, dancers, promoters, and designers. As the connections expand and emerging artists mature into bigger names, GYSO Ent. intends on keeping up and growing in order to support driven and determined artists from across the globe. DJ SHiNE also is known as the genius behind the Diamond Kutz Radio Mixtapes, a monthly CD with a wide circulation base in Japan.
