    1. The Boresha Lishe nutrition project, which is co-funded by the EU, aims at improving access to and use of nutritious food for women and children through social behaviour change communication, diversification of food production, and distribution of specialised nutritious foods in Bahi and Chamwino Districts in Dodoma Region and Ikungi and Singida Rural Districts in Singida Region. WFP is also working with the government and local communities to treat moderate acute malnutrition in mothers and children.

    2. Climate-Smart Agriculture Programme (CSAP): This is an integrated approach that addresses the interlinked challenges of food security and climate change. The programme pilots a sorghum project in the Dodoma region to support smallholder farmers to improve farm productivity and hybrid seed linkage, improve post-harvest management practices at the household level, promote technologies geared to reduce pre- and post-harvest loss, and increase market opportunities for sorghum.

    3. The Kigoma Joint Programme (KJP) cuts across multiple sectors to improve development and human security in Kigoma. The programme involves sixteen UN agencies and was developed in cooperation with the regional and district authorities based on the needs of the people living in Kigoma and the capacities of the UN in Tanzania.

    4. Food Distribution in Nyarugusu refugee camp: Document WFP Tanzania works and provides a general food basket to Congolese and Burundian refugees hosted in Nyarugusu, Nduta, and Mtendeli Refugee Camps in the Kigoma region.
