I’m Joanna Kyriakou, a visual artist and painter based in Thessaloniki. I studied Fine Arts and Art Sciences at the University of Ioannina, completed my internship at the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, and later specialized further with a Master 1 in International Artistic Cooperation at Université Paris 8. For many years I founded and ran Pape Moe, where I worked across painting, exhibitions, education, and creative projects for children and adults—always with a strong focus on realistic commissioned portraits. Alongside my studio practice, I’ve collaborated with cultural institutions and event teams, including facilitating educational activities for the Thessaloniki Opera (“País Opera”) and supporting art workshops and installations. I also take on illustration and storytelling work—writing and illustrating fairy tales and books—and I’ve contributed set-design supervision for photo shoots and events.
