Ira Rokka is a visual artist working across photography and video, and also teaches. Born in Moscow in 1987, she lives and works in Paris and focuses her artistic practice on the emotional and spiritual transformation of the human being, expressed through body language. Her teaching and creative process are grounded in an original system, the "Director’s methods of working with a model," developed from director and actor skills used during performance. Using guided relaxation, breathing, and tempo-rhythm/intensity work, she helps performers—often without professional experience—enter a near-trance state to express a wide range of emotional amplitude spontaneously.
