Instagram Post with Cover Art:

Illustrated cover art and custom emblem-style title design developed for a collaborative single promoting civic engagement and voter participation.
✦
Working from client-provided ideas and reference imagery, I began the project with two thumbnail concepts exploring a belt buckle–inspired title emblem as the central visual motif. After refining the selected direction into a detailed digital sketch, I developed the final illustrated emblem in Adobe Illustrator—integrating the song title and surrounding visual elements within the oval buckle form to function as a standalone promotional asset.
Once the color palette was approved, I incorporated the finalized emblem into a complete cover art composition in Adobe Photoshop. During this phase, I enhanced the vector artwork with dimensional detailing—adding shading, metallic highlights, and a subtle orange edge glow to emphasize the reflective quality of the metal. Texture overlays were applied to differentiate surface treatments, giving the inset areas a lightly hammered finish while maintaining a sleeker texture on the raised elements of the buckle.
The final artwork combined the rendered title emblem with the client’s existing artist logo, supporting artist credits, a background image provided by the client, and campaign-oriented text encouraging voter participation.
Upon completion, I delivered both the standalone emblem and the fully composed cover art, allowing the client to utilize the assets across multiple promotional contexts tied to the song’s release and live performance.

I designed a suite of six platform-specific promotional banners for a media company’s flagship podcast, adapting provided brand assets into cohesive, high-impact digital cover imagery across streaming and social platforms.
✦
Working from client-supplied photography, a preferred color palette, and pre-approved visual elements (including a microphone-and-headphones graphic, soundwave motifs, and textural assets), I composed each banner to maintain visual consistency while optimizing layout, framing, and focal hierarchy for the unique dimensions of each platform.
Designs were developed in Adobe Photoshop and refined through ongoing collaboration with the company’s Design Lead to ensure brand alignment and cross-platform cohesion.

Song with Cover Art:

I designed a custom cover artwork for a jazz single, blending hand-crafted illustration with layered collage-based graphic design to create a refined yet contemporary visual identity for the release.
✦
At the center of the composition, I illustrated king and queen chess pieces (as requested by the client), using high-contrast lighting, sculpted shading, and subtle wood-grain texture to create depth and realism. Crisp linework separates the illustration from the softer background elements, while a subtly outlined gradient cast shadow anchors the focal point within the composition.
The background was constructed as a ripped-magazine-style collage using five client-approved images. I blurred and color-graded the imagery with a retro-inspired gradient map, incorporated pencil-drawn texture overlays, and layered paper textures to achieve a tactile, analog feel. Two of the images featured the performing artists — a portrait of the lead vocalist and a photograph of the saxophonist — subtly integrated into the collage narrative.
Typography for the song title and featured artists was designed to ensure legibility while complementing the overall tone of the composition. The client’s existing logo was incorporated into the upper-left corner to maintain brand continuity.
The final design was informed by visual references provided by the client as well as independent research into classic and contemporary jazz album artwork, ensuring the piece honored genre traditions while feeling modern and distinct.

Designed and hand-painted a large-scale infographic mural, translating company-provided assets into a precise, grid-planned visual timeline installation.
✦
I designed and hand-painted an infographic-style mural within an alcove space, translating company-provided assets into a large-scale visual timeline. The piece was carefully planned using gridded digital references, precision measuring tools, and graphite transfer methods to ensure accuracy across both walls, resulting in a clean, structured installation executed entirely in latex paint.

Designed a custom illustrated coffee icon logo that integrated the client’s existing wordmark into a painterly, textured mark inspired by my animated short “Bee Tea.”
✦
This project involved the creation of a custom illustrated icon logo designed to house the client’s existing wordmark. Drawing inspiration from my animated short “Bee Tea” — specifically its painterly textures and expressive shading — I translated that visual style into a cohesive brand mark.
After reviewing annotated reference material and client feedback, I developed two initial compositional directions: a high-angle side view and a top-down view of a coffee cup and saucer. The selected top-down concept provided a strong circular frame to center the wordmark.
I refined the chosen direction in Adobe Photoshop with rich color blocking, painterly highlights, soft shading, and subtle frothing details to give depth and warmth to the coffee surface. A steam asset provided by the client was integrated and adjusted to align seamlessly with the illustration. The final composition balances illustrative charm with functional brand clarity, creating a logo mark that feels handcrafted yet scalable.

Illustrated a cohesive four-part, gold-toned coffee label series celebrating women of color from the Bible, creating a unified yet distinct visual identity for the flavorful “Gold Brew Series” rollout.
✦
This project involved illustrating a four-part coffee bean label series inspired by women of color from the Bible. The goal was to create a cohesive visual collection for the “Gold Brew Series” rollout while ensuring each illustration maintained its own distinct identity.
The client provided initial concept graphics and narrative direction for each design. From there, I translated those ideas into refined digital sketches in Adobe Photoshop, adjusting compositions as needed before moving into finalized linework. This collaborative approach ensured alignment before progressing into the rendering phase.
Each illustration was developed using a controlled palette of gold and tan hues, allowing the series to feel unified while varying tones, shapes, and compositional elements provided individuality to each label. The consistent color language helped reinforce brand cohesion across the product line.
Upon completion, I prepared individual asset exports of the illustrated elements to support both packaging and promotional marketing applications. The final result is a visually unified series that feels intentional, elegant, and scalable across multiple brand touchpoints.

A fully realized 2D animated music video that transforms sound into story through expressive, character-driven visual storytelling.
✦
This animated music video was developed through a full end-to-end animation pipeline, from initial concept and planning through final delivery. Working closely with the band, I translated the emotional tone, rhythm, and narrative qualities of the song into a stylized 2D animated world centered on character-driven storytelling.
The project began with collaborative planning and visual development, including color exploration, character design, and storyboarding. A detailed animatic was created to establish pacing, shot structure, and visual continuity prior to animation.
The final piece features hand-drawn 2D animation across multiple scenes, combining rough, cleanup, and color animation with motion-enhanced elements for smoother transitions. In addition to the music video itself, promotional stills were designed using frames from the final animation for use across digital platforms.

Illustrated a hyper-realistic single release cover art for a local R&B artist, reimagining her portrait in cool-toned purples and magentas to reflect the song’s cinematic and smooth, atmospheric mood.
✦
This project involved creating a hyper-realistic illustrated single cover for a local, Milwaukee R&B singer. Inspired by a reference photo of the artist leaning against a sleek car, the goal was to reinterpret the image in a cool-toned purple and magenta palette that reflected the song’s smooth, late-night atmosphere.
While maintaining the pose and overall composition, the artist requested a hairstyle transformation — giving her long, flowing natural curls that felt windswept and expressive. During the digital sketch phase in Adobe Photoshop, I separated the hair in a light periwinkle tone to distinguish it from the primary linework, allowing for focused revisions before finalizing the hair.
After approval, I completed the refined linework and moved into color blocking. Careful attention was given to skin tones, dimensional shading, and highlights to achieve a hyper-real yet painterly finish. The car’s surface was rendered with smooth paint reflections, metallic silver accents, and a glossy windshield, balancing realism with stylistic softness.
The background was developed in layered purples and magentas with subtle texture and atmospheric blur in the lavender sky, reinforcing the mood of a calm, stylish nighttime drive. Final adjustments included subtle shirt color variations to better align with the artist’s desired color palette.
The completed cover visually complements the song’s chill, melodic energy — capturing the feeling of a breezy evening drive shared with someone special.
