Junior Game Artist at GAMEDIA
February 1, 2022 - February 1, 2023
Functioned as a Junior Game Artist under the guidance of senior artists. Worked together with peers on new levels, weapons, vehicles and cosmetic assets for Spider Tanks. Learned to translate concepts and ideas assigned by art leads into game-ready assets. Part of shipping a successful product, both in the form of a game release and updates to a live multiplayer game played worldwide.
Game Artist (Generalist) at GAMEDIA
August 1, 2023 - May 1, 2026
Learned to become self-directed and autonomous after the company assigned more responsibilities for the game Spider Tanks: Cores of Chaos. Contributed to high-quality projects such as Tidewalkers, gaining experience in a high-to-low poly workflow. Gained more experience working in game engines and adjacent software, specifically Unity. Took initiative to learn more technical aspects of implementation like repository version control systems to make the art pipeline more efficient. Directed the art for goals given by the producer, from design and concept to fully game-ready levels and characters.

paper Spider Tanks: themed content and community interaction

One thing I loved about working on Spider Tanks is how playful we could be within the IP.

I really enjoyed making special artwork to interact with our community on Discord - reaching 7000+ players!

About three weeks before Christmas 2025 we decided that maybe we should make a Christmas greeting to the community. Using the existing ‘‘elf’’ models from the Christmas tank we already had, I rerigged and animated them into new content. With some additional Christmas decoration, some in engine camera animation and the lovely voice-over by our COO, Robin Herben, we managed to put this fun clip together just in time for Christmas break.

    paper Spider Tanks: Maps

This was probably my biggest assignment working at GAMEDIA. A moon was already included in the lore of Spider Tanks, but this planet was not yet visually included in the game.

While my art colleagues were assigned to a different project within GAMEDIA, I got the great and exciting opportunity to design and build the moon map(s) by myself from the ground up!

I’ve learned a lot about concepting, planning, designing, prioritizing tasks and breaking yourself out of tunnel vision along the way. I found a flow that worked for me.

    paper Spider Tanks: Destroyers

One of my biggest tasks at GAMEDIA has been concepting, modelling, texturing and animating big bosses that can randomly spawn in a regular Spider Tanks match called “Destroyers”.

I made two Destroyers. One was called the Golem and inhabited the jungle planet of Silvanus. The other was called the Incinerator, which spawned only on the vulcanic planet Cacus.

Besides having made the in-game animations for the Destroyers, I have also made animations to support the creation of several trailers, which made me learn a lot about animation timelines in Unity.
