I'm Ispahani Mukah, a multidisciplinary artist and creative based in Birmingham, UK. My practice sits at the intersection of fine art, illustration, and storytelling , and over the years I've built experience across a range of creative disciplines that naturally complement each other. At my core, I'm a draughtsman and painter. Drawing is where everything starts for me, and that foundation runs through everything else I do, from exhibited fine art work to comic books, graphic novels, and book illustration. I have experience working in sequential art and visual storytelling, and I enjoy the craft of bringing narratives to life on the page. Alongside my studio and illustration work, I have experience in graphic design, particularly for creative and arts-focused projects and I'm comfortable producing and editing content for digital and social media platforms, with a creative eye for how things should look and feel on screen. I also have a genuine passion for sharing creativity. I've designed and facilitated art workshops for children, young people, and public audiences in community and gallery settings, and I find that side of my work just as rewarding as making art itself. In 2026 I was endorsed by Arts Council England as a UK Global Talent in Arts & Culture. I was also the Overall Winner of Birmingham Open 2025, shortlisted for Portrait Artist of the Year on Sky Arts, and a Global Winner of the UNHCR International Art Contest in 2021.
