I'm Ispahani Mukah, a multidisciplinary artist and creative based in Birmingham, UK. My practice sits at the intersection of fine art, illustration, and storytelling , and over the years I've built experience across a range of creative disciplines that naturally complement each other. At my core, I'm a draughtsman and painter. Drawing is where everything starts for me, and that foundation runs through everything else I do, from exhibited fine art work to comic books, graphic novels, and book illustration. I have experience working in sequential art and visual storytelling, and I enjoy the craft of bringing narratives to life on the page. Alongside my studio and illustration work, I have experience in graphic design, particularly for creative and arts-focused projects and I'm comfortable producing and editing content for digital and social media platforms, with a creative eye for how things should look and feel on screen. I also have a genuine passion for sharing creativity. I've designed and facilitated art workshops for children, young people, and public audiences in community and gallery settings, and I find that side of my work just as rewarding as making art itself. In 2026 I was endorsed by Arts Council England as a UK Global Talent in Arts & Culture. I was also the Overall Winner of Birmingham Open 2025, shortlisted for Portrait Artist of the Year on Sky Arts, and a Global Winner of the UNHCR International Art Contest in 2021. I'm open to collaborative, meaningful projects and I'm looking forward to bringing the same care and attention to everything I'm involved in.
