As a small project alongside my Final Major Project at Coventry University, we were required to make a new piece of work every week (for 3 weeks) that was inspired by a sentence. We had only a week to find a sentence, plan a piece, develop it and produce a finished product. This was to show how quickly we could work and experience short deadlines.
I decided to do song lyrics as music inspires me heavily and helps me fall into my imagination!
For this piece I used a lyric from Florence & The Machine's song: 'Shipwreck'. Florence Welch is one of my favourite singers and someone whose inspired me since I was a little girl, so I knew I had to do at least one piece for her!
The lyric was: 'Don't touch the sleeping pills, they mess with my head'.
