I’m Juan Amin, a composer, music producer, and founder of Room Records in Barranquilla, Colombia. I create hybrid orchestral, cinematic, and electronic music for film, video games, and immersive media, blending traditional orchestration with contemporary production workflows.
With over eight years of experience across music production and composition, I approach every project from a storytelling perspective, using orchestration, texture, and sonic world-building as the foundation of my creative process. I’m passionate about developing a signature language influenced by film and video game scores, and I continue to expand my work through live performances and collaborations with local artists and audiences.

For this narrative short film, I composed and produced the original score to support the story’s emotional progression and psychological tension.
The music was designed to enhance key dramatic moments, balancing subtle atmospheric textures with thematic material that reinforces the film’s characters and narrative arc. Working closely with the director through visual storytelling, the score aimed to deepen audience engagement while maintaining a natural connection with the on-screen performances.
This project showcases two contrasting moments from the film’s score: a dramatic sequence driven by tension and rhythmic momentum, and a more intimate, atmospheric cue focused on emotional storytelling.
For this short film, I composed, produced, and recorded the original song featured during one of the story’s most emotionally significant moments.
Created as the protagonist’s musical voice, the piece accompanies a deeply personal scene in which she reflects on a traumatic experience, serving as both a narrative and emotional centerpiece of the film. Built around intimate acoustic guitar and female vocals, the song was designed to convey vulnerability, reflection, and emotional honesty while supporting the visual storytelling.
In addition to composing the featured song, I contributed to the film’s sound design to help create a cohesive sonic experience.
For this short film, I composed and produced the original score, creating music that supported both the film’s atmospheric world and its most dramatic visual moments.
The score combines ethereal textures, cinematic sound design elements, and rhythm-driven compositions to enhance the film’s emotional and visual storytelling. From subtle, immersive atmospheres to intense percussive sequences, the music was crafted to reinforce the tone, pacing, and impact of each scene.
