After completing advertising school, I began my professional audiovisual career as an independent photographer specializing in portraiture and working with institutional clients. Over time, I transitioned to roles as a camera operator and editor, contributing to short fiction, advertising, and documentary films, while simultaneously teaching languages at a private institute. This diverse experience led to a pivotal opportunity: combining my passion for teaching with my love for visual storytelling as IB Film Assistant Teacher and AV Technician at Markham College. This role was transformative, allowing me to refine my managing and production skills, enhance my classroom experience, and benefit from formal pedagogical training at a leading British university. In 2023, eager to deepen my understanding of film theory and supported by a scholarship from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I pursued a Master’s programme in Cinéma et Audiovisuel at Aix-Marseille Université, which I have just completed. My Master’s thesis on Andean cinema representations was graded 16/20.
