Outside of working as a freelance writer for several years, my background includes many years of teaching technical writing and communications at the university level. I have also worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a training consultant. Much of my role there revolved around accessibility, clear communication, evaluating training quality, and designing user-friendly training materials.
