Hi, I’m R. Victor Meirelles, a Brazilian illustrator and visual storyteller based in Salvador. I create engaging, culturally accessible visuals for children’s books and editorial projects, with a focus on narrative clarity and visual engagement. Since 2025 I have been working as an Illustrator with the Hindawi Foundation, where I’ve illustrated three complete children’s books for an Egyptian NGO, adapting my storytelling to different audiences and ensuring consistency and strong pacing across scenes. I also work on freelance projects and exhibitions, always aiming to tell meaningful stories through image and design. My work spans exhibitions and editorial pieces across Brazil and beyond. I contributed to Ecos Malês, a narrative-driven exhibition exploring Afro-Brazilian history and cultural identity, which was ranked the #2 art exhibition in Brazil by Select Magazine in 2024. I enjoy cross-cultural collaboration, balancing sensitive social themes with accessible visuals, and I’m adept at character design, world-building, and captioning/descriptive writing that supports narrative coherence.
