James Doyle

My name is James and I am a journalism student at the University of Galway. I have previous experience in podcasting hosting, interviewing and presenting. I currently do freelance work for Footballing news site LOI Talk were I write articles, commentate on matches, interview managers and players and host my own women’s football podcast. I also host a radio show called ‘Wake Up and Wind Up’, a Tuesday morning radio show where me and three of my friends have open discussions on interesting topics and have amazing debates early on a Tuesday morning. Because of this, I have a lot of experience with recording software, managing mic levels, asking poignant questions and being an entertaining presenter.

I am a confident and articulate person driven by hard
work ethic and a want to improve any company I work
for. I take an extremely professional and punctual
attitude towards the work I have done and will
undertake. I relish the chance to work with others and
enjoy working with teams. I am incredibly passionate
about presenting and journalism and that shines through
in the work I have conducted. I have previous experience
of working in the field of radio, commentary,
interviewing and sports journalism as listed below. As I
am fluent through Irish, I love doing presenting and
media through the Irish language.
