Videographer - JD Sports Fashion (February 2022 - October 2022)
I was a videographer at JD Sports Fashion PLC where I worked on large budget campaign videos for JD and Footpatrol, social content for TikTok and reels, helped to organise size?’s first festival, as well as working with other brands like Scotts, Cricket and Giulio to name a few. On top of this, I created short films and documentaries with JD People, the company’s internal HR platform. Working at JD has also given me a lot of experience with E-Commerce videography which all of the videographers take it in turns to cover when we have fewer deadlines to meet.
Freelance Filmmaker (June 2021 - Present)
I left the RNLI to go freelance giving myself more creative freedom to explore a lot of different aspects of filmmaking. I’ve managed to work with some incredible brands including, AO, shooting their Christmas party. King No One, a Manchester based rock band in need of some new music videos. Modern Milkman, where I pitched, produced, directed and edited a short film for their website along with 5 smaller interviews. Alzheimer’s Society, where I was AC, focus puller and animator on a new video for trustees. Vita Student, the RNLI to capture footage from Northern lifeboat stations. During my freelancing I also do a fair bit of 2D corporate animation.
Videographer - Royal National Lifeboat Institution (October 2017 – June 2021)
I worked as one of the videographers at the RNLI. Originally working in the Film and Image team with 3 other co-workers, then worked in a team of two videographers after a corporate reshuffle. Being a videographer in such a small team means that I had to be experienced in all fields of production including directing, producing, editing, motion graphics and studio shooting. I also developed film ideas in a team, taking them from the pre-production stage, all the way to post-production and the finished product. I also stepped into a Senior Videographer role while the Senior Videographer was off for some time. I managed to develop some management skills while he was away and got to lead the content creators that fell under the Film and Image team.
