Working within a professional design studio environment, delivering technical design support across a range of client projects. · Produced manufacture-ready vector cut files in Adobe Illustrator for laser-cutting and CNC processes, maintaining tight tolerances and material specifications. · Modelled and refined 3D components in Fusion 360, applying design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles to reduce production errors and material waste. · Developed a strong working understanding of manufacturing constraints — including material behaviour, jointing methods, and assembly sequencing — to ensure designs are buildable as drawn. · Collaborated with production teams to sense-check technical drawings and resolve detailing issues before manufacture. Tools: Fusion 360, Adobe Illustrator, technical drawing, CAD, DFM, laser cutting
Product Designer at Brothers Make
August 5, 2024 - September 5, 2024
In this internship, I helped out with the daily tasks of injection moulding of products and quality control, as well as shredding and recycling of manufacturing and plastic waste. I designed a variety of soap dish designs for their company, designing for functionality and matching the aesthetics of their company by using natural organic shapes. Looking forward to working more with them in the future, CAD modelling designs for them and helping them with 3D printing as well as assisting with the manufacturing of their injection-moulded products.
