uniE621 Sielence: A study in snails Act 1-3
This is a study on snails I’m currently developing to explore storytelling through different drawing styles, and how each can communicate emotion—specifically within the theme of silence. A study in snails Act 1: Finding The first part features the Chubby Honey Snails. These snails live in a small world, but they make it entirely their own. They embody found happiness—the discovery of life and joy in unexpected, forgotten places that were meant to be silent. In their case, they live inside a honey jar, left behind in a pantry. It’s a place that shouldn’t make a sound, yet here they are—born out of that silence and thriving in it. I chose a cartoon style for them to convey wonder and happiness. This style also suits bright color palettes and the overall sense of cuteness that reflects their playful energy. A study in snail Act 2: Fearing The second act in my snails series portrays forced silence. Here, the snails are made of bones—Skeleton Snails, held together by rigid edges. Their world is small and overshadowed by a looming monster. This is silence that isn’t chosen: silence born from fear. The fear of speaking out, of not being taken seriously, or of realizing that screaming might not change anything. For this act, I chose a graphic style because I believe its sharp edges and minimal tone shifts express fear effectively. It is a style that creates a feeling of isolation, of absoluteness, and of barriers that are hard to cross. A study in snail Act 3: Being (to be made) The final act explores chosen silence. These snails are ghosts or mist—weightless yet present. They float quietly within a vast, open space, listening to the silence around them. Sometimes it is wise not to speak. Sometimes silence has more impact than words, and sometimes it simply isn’t necessary to say anything at all. These snails represent calm presence—being content without needing to fill every silence, simply existing within it. For this, I chose a traditional Japanese ink style, because its minimal brushstrokes and use of negative space—like silence itself—can be far more powerful than one might expect.
    uniE621 Musicvisualization
My bachelor project is an immersive music visualization installation that transforms sound into a dynamic interplay of light, color, and material. By translating music into shifting visual compositions, it explores the emotional and spatial impact of sound, redefining how we perceive and experience our surroundings. I built a spinning table, made up of three plates. 2 of them spun with different speeds, so the light panels could merge together in ever new pictures. https://youtu.be/fPzBt_NmwlU
    uniE621 LotusPort
An audioreactive project I made with 3 other people from my study programm. It was made in Unity and you had 6 characters, that you could control. With music the flowers in the water spawned and the lights turned on, on beat. I made the scenery, including the water shader, as well as 5 of the characters.
    uniE621 Bouken
