My main musical output currently, playing live with backing tracks with the intent of turning it into a full band. Half parody and half reality, I take on the role of an immortal 80s rock musician who has just been defrosted after being accidentally cryogenically frozen in 1999. The music is framed as excerpts from a seven album spanning discography that is vaguely recollected, with strange and unsolicted anecdotes on their life in the 20th century music industry; all the disagreements with notable classic rock artists, marital troubles and issues with reintegrating in the digital age. The recorded music is updated periodically, as in canon, they have lost all the rights to the masters and is re-recording demos of the songs (much to the dismay to the nameless record company). As a result, they live as a penniless nomad occassionally performing local shows.

Plain Microwave is the predecessor to this project, being a straightfoward experimental power-pop recording outlet.

Effectively an ARG pilot and my final master’s project. The goal was to create a fictional pop solo artist, and implant her career into the algorithm on youtube. This was inspired by fictional video game ARGs such as Crow 64, as well as the phenomenon of youtube recommended music promoting obscure tastes and cuts.
