Hi my name is Jenny Pries. I am an Illustrator (both traditional and digital), fine artist, graphic designer and fibre artist. I own Studio on the Farm in Roslin, Ontario where I work as a freelance artist and designer, teach art and craft workshops, create my own fine art, illustrations and fibre art (crochet and needle felt). I am also a farmer! I live on my farm and raise sheep for their wool, which I am learning to clean and spin so I can use it in my fibre creations. And while I dearly love the fibre world, my true love is for drawing and painting and that is why I am here on Twine. Back in 2020 I was the recipient of the Quinte Arts Council, Art's Recognition Award for New and Emerging Artist. I am truly humbled to have received this award and continue to grow my skills here every day. Pencil, pen and Ink, watercolour, and acrylic paint are my main mediums. Digital illustration and design is something I enjoy as well. I love to create in many different styles and mediums. I truly enjoy variety, taking on challenges and learning new things. So, that is somewhat reflected in the variety of my art. I choose to study nature and all things alive, I have a fascination with how we are put together – what makes us who we are. I am a noticer. I pay attention to my surroundings, enjoy walking and observing nature, animals and people. I love to sketch. I am detail focused, but also very interpretive and aim to create connection and tell a story with my art. I love collaborating and look forward to working with new clients. I'm easygoing and communicate well along the creative process. I look forward to creating new and amazing works of art! **Qualifications and education** Graduate class of 2000, Sheridan College Oakville Campus, Interdisciplinary Arts with a focus on Illustration.

    uniE621 Move out Mouse!
Posca Pens on paper. A sketch illustration of a mouse. Sorry the thumbnail is sideways - it keeps uploading that way and won't let me fix it. Hopefully the full image will be the correct orientation. #illustrator #artist #character #sketch #colour #posca #animalart #bookillustration #ideas
    uniE621 Yuki Portrait (wip)
A work in progress of my senior chihuahua pup Yuki. Pastel and coloured pencil on pastel paper. Wip - not complete. Will update with final art when it's done. #illustrator #artist #pastel #animal #portrait #art #dog #pencil #colouredpencil
    uniE621 Freehand Portrait Sketch Challenge
Pencil on paper. Just a sketch and not a final artwork. I did this sketch to see how well I could transfer the image of Beyoncé without using any artists tools such as a grid or transfer methods. My goal is just to train my eye to be more accurate. As you can see it's not quite there - but that's what practice is for - this was an exercise and just a sketch - using transfer methods I could create an exact likeness - but this is good training. #illustrator #artist #practice #pencil #freehand #drawing #realism
uniE621 sample pic of illustrated hoodie
A sample pic of my horse illustration on a hoodie. #illustrator #graphicdesigner #designer
uniE621 Process photo - digitizing my illustration for use in art merch for an Etsy shop
Digitizing my illustration in Photoshop to create art merch for an Etsy shop. #illustrator #graphicdesigner #designer

    uniE621 Horse Illustration
An illustration I did in pencil to be used for art prints and for art merch (such as t-shirts, mugs and hoodies). #illustrator #designer #graphicdesigner
    uniE621 Portrait (wip)
Portrait of President Zelenskyy done in Prismacolor Premiere soft core pencils. This is a work in progress. I like to include progress pics as well as complete art. :) #illustrator #graphicdesigner #designer
    uniE621 Stand with Ukraine Illustration
Illustration created in Prismacolor Premier soft core pencils and digitally enhanced by adding the slogan. This is printed on a Tshirt and this image has been used on other merch as well (mugs, canvas print) #illustrator #designer #graphicdesigner
    uniE621 Pattern Design Option2
A second fabric pattern design using a hand illustrated sunflower, scanned and digitally coloured. This has been used to make scarves, notebooks and other merch. #illustrator #graphicdesigner #designer
    uniE621 Printed Fabric Design
I created a fabric pattern to be used for printing scarves, kimonos and other merch. Hand illustrated sunflower, scanned and digitally enhanced in photoshop. #illustrator #graphicdesigner #designer
    uniE621 Ray of Hope Painting
Acrylic on Masonite and then scanned and digitally enhanced to produce an artwork for fundraising. I made options with and without the slogan "stand with Ukraine". This has been made into canvas art prints, hoodies, printed on mugs, magnets and other merch as well as made into a flag at someone's request. I enjoy combining non-digital and digital elements. #graphicdesigner #illustrator #designer
