Maple Tree with Bark Texture Zoom

This was a pencil, pen and ink drawing for an upcoming book “Sweet Maple” being published and printed next fall. The job required 16 hand-drawn illustrations, (tree, bark, leaf and samara for 4 species of maple tree) digitized for use in print. It also required me to do my own research in learning the differences between 4 species of maple trees and able to translate those differences in art. #illustrator
