I established a consultancy to deliver industrial and product design services to local firms specilaising in creating concepts and developing them to market ready products. This involved working with either in-house or external manufacturers developing the products through multiple iterations and managing this process with all stakeholders. I also provided drafting services for architectural components and manufacturing for a number of external companies as demand requires. Finally i have developed a number of furniture and architectural hardware products which are distributed and manufactured in New Zealand and under licence in Australia.

Production & Quality Control at NZ Fire Doors

March 1, 2017 - September 11, 2025

This was my first position after graduation where I was responsible for quality control and processing of production drawings and developing new products. I used the role to build an understanding of a production environment and the manufacturing processes used for the products, including sheet metals and timber. I also developed a top-down modelling process using Solidworks, which was used for the design of all new components and products within the company.
