The name of this is years gone.

A poem about losing a wife or husband at a young age.

    Years Gone

One year gone. It seems  like yesterday when you went away.
Oh the pain and suffering on that horrible day. The hurt and anger  that has never gone away. I miss your smile everyday.

Five years gone. Still seems like yesterday, I’ll never forget that horrible day.
It lives in my memory and always will stay. That’s the part of you i keep alive in my own special way…

Ten years gone. Dear God the pain is still real. The way I miss you, nobody can possibly feel.
Your still alive in my head and my tears are real. Sometimes I wish it was me and you had  stayed here.  But that just wasn’t to be.
We were just young kids when God took you from me… .

Twenty years gone. And I still remember that day. And even though my hair turns gray and the pain is still real, and seems to never go away, Nobody can possibly feel the way I do and did on that day. My God twenty years and I still miss you so. Always in my heart untill my dieing day. But I will be happy on that day of all days  for that’s the day We will meet again and both shall have happiness onece again

Forty years gone.  I will be seeing you soon. I have never forgot anything about you. The smile, the laugh, the way that you walked, and I truly miss the way that you talked…the whispers the giggles the laughter out loud. Even when it rained there was never a cloud. Sky’s always sunny and blue. Just like the day I first meet you…

Sixty years gone.  Is it wrong of me to ask why I was left alone. I have always remembered a love never gone. It’s stayed in my heart for so very long. Some days I must strain to remember your name but I know your look all the same… And I’ll meet you up there in  the place  we talked about, I’ll be  standing alone waiting for you to walk out.  And when we meet a smile I will have,  seeing you again is all that I want. We will be  Together at last, like we where never apart.

A lifetime gone.  But thinking of you  all of my life gave me reason to live on, And I wish and pray with  all my might. That I could just touch you again and know that your here. Still with me each nite. But I could never see you untill tonite. And as you stand by my bed I can see it in your face. You have come to show me the way home, and  to our special place. Oh please take me now, so I can hold your hand. As we walk into the promised land
