    paper Maido Website Redesign

Maido is a Japanese goods store, based in the US. They are known primarily for their Japanese stationery, however they also have other goods, like food, toys, accessories, and home goods.

The goal of this redesign was to create a browsing and searching experience that is intuitive and organized well enough so that customers feel welcome to browse the site, or search for specific items. I found the design solutions by running a series of user surveys and tests, which then informed me what specific things needed to be redesigned to make the website more accessible.

    paper LANL Navigation Redesign

The website for the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is rich with information and resources about the lab’s research, mission, business collaboration, and education. But the navigation and search features were confusing and difficult to use for both the public and lab organizations. With public outreach and increasingly critical part of the lab’s agenda, we need to rethink and overhaul the experience, structure and interactions.

    paper Mesa Design System

Mesa is a Design System—a collection of pre-built, reusable assets—that allows web designers and developers at the Lab to build consistent web experiences faster. Mesa unifies the Lab’s identity among the Lab’s web products. The Lab didn’t have a shared knowledge base for design and code, which led to inefficiencies and inconsistent designs.

    paper Uplift K12 Homepage Redesign

Uplift K12 is an online platform designed to help teachers and tutors teach students math using manipulatives. It has a number of free tools, including: a virtual whiteboard where teachers can upload their own teaching materials, ready made lessons for online and offline learning, and educational math games. This platform was co-founded by teacher team Mehul and Michelle Shah, and their goal when creating this project was to help them attract more teachers to the site, and to help teachers and tutors teach math virtually.

paper 404 Error Project Case Study

As the sole UI/UX designer on this project, working alongside one developer, I created these error page designs for the Los Alamos National Laboratory’s external website. These pages would be displayed when a user encounters a non-existent or unavailable web page, guiding them back to a navigable section of the site.
